We took about a half the day to enjoy some of the historical sites that San Juan offers.
Our first stop was Castillo de San Cristobal a Spanish fort in Old San Juan, It’s very unique and you’ll have access to most of the area including a great view of St Maria Magdalena Pizzi Cemetery. Afterwards we walked through town checking out the small parks, old architecture and shops.
Don’t forget your camera
Old San Juan is a photographers playground.
I brought my Canon 7D and my 70-200mm canon zoom lens. I’ve owned it for about 5 years now and have used it to photograph everything such as sports and rodeo to portrait and leisure photography. It takes beautiful clear shots but does gets heavy to haul around after a while.
Purchasing a compact camera bag for the trip is a good idea as well. I chose a back pack style bag so I can store my camera amongst other items easily and its not falling off my shoulder all the time.
A good second choice for memorable photos is always your I phone. I recently purchased the I Phone 7 plus and love it. It has surprisingly good optic capability for capturing memorable photos.
